The Apostle John was a man of action. A fisherman, John, was called by Christ to "Follow Me." John obeyed, and he followed Jesus during His entire earthly ministry. John encouraged the young believers to be men and women of action. John's warning to prepare for action applies to us today. We should always be ready to serve Christ. We prepare by studying the Scriptures, praying, worshiping, and obeying His word. What actions are we called to perform? We can visit the sick and homebound. We can pray for and financially support our mission field. We can feed the hungry. We can teach, sing in the band or share the Good News. Are you ready for action?
