I could see Jesus answering many people in this same way in the days which we live. People hear scriptures through TV, Radio and Church, never giving much thought to whether it is right or wrong. Instead of going to the bible and checking it for themselves, they just take it as the gospel. The bible says study to show yourself approved. In other word, know right from wrong. Don't take man's word for it, take Gods word as the gospel.
