In this life, we really don't want anyone to know us intimately, except our spouse. We are afraid people will find out our faults if they know us that well. But here the psalmist says, God search me, know my heart. God see's our faults and loves us in spite of them. He wants that type of relationship with us. The best relationships I've ever seen with family and friends are the one's that have that type. None of us are prefect, so why can't we love the way God loves. Once we realize God loves us in spite of our faults, we should be able to love one another the same way.
