Out of all the chapters in Revelation, chapters 2 and 3 are the ones most misunderstood. Jesus told John to write to the seven Christian church. Only two of them were praised for what they were doing. The others were told to repent, or Jesus would turn away from them. They had allowed the world to not only come in to the church but also their lives. They felt they were ok in how things were going. But what was taking place in their lives was wrong. It didn't line up with the teachings of Jesus. The situation is a little different in our world today, but the same thing has happened to alot of people. Things in the world are more enjoyable than living lives for Christ. They walk around with the attitude, I'm ok, your ok but are they. Re-read what Jesus said he would do if they did not repent and change their ways. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
