π Today's Word:
Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Remember when you were a child? Ever do something wrong? Ever make you parents mad, I mean really mad? My dad use to say, he would beat me within an inches of my life. Never did, but I didn't know that. Sure made me start to straighten up and act right cause I didn't like discipline. If earthly discipline has benefited us, then the discipline from our Heavenly Father will benefit us all the more. It will produce righteousness in our lives. It will cause us to bear fruit that pleases God as we become conformed to the image of Christ. One of the reasons that discipline is so difficult to endure sometimes is that we cannot see the future. We cannot see the good that God will produce in us as a result of discipline. Yet we are promised that the peaceable fruit of righteousness will result. Ask God to help you treasure this future fruit so that you can endure.
