This scripture was brought about by what Paul was talking about a few verse's earlier. In the earlier verses this is what Paul told Titus about the elders he was choosing. Not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. I'm sure someone just said, glad I'm not an elder. So here is what he said to the believers in 1 Corinthians 6. Nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Pretty much sounds the same to me. So many people in this world confess to know Jesus, but once they leave the presents of other Christians they live like the world does. One of the biggest Christian myths is, you can live as you want, long as your not some form of a leader in church. I don't think that is what it says.
